India Records Lowest Daily COVID-19 Cases Since March 2020

New Delhi, 17th Jan. According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Tuesday, India recorded 89 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest since March 27, 2020, while active cases fell to 2,035.

The Covid case count stood at 4.46 crore (4,46,81,233).

The death toll now stands at 5,30,726 according to data updated at 8 a.m.

The daily positivity rate was 0.05 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.09 percent.

According to the ministry, active cases now account for 0.01 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has increased to 98.80 percent.

In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has decreased by 84 cases.

The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,41,48,472 people.
