New Delhi, 14th Jan. India may be granted “treaty country status” by the US, which would allow Indian traders and businesspeople to travel to US cities using the new E1 and E2 visa choices. The two nations are also debating a plan that would let holders of H-1B visas and their relatives renew their visas solely in the United States, eliminating the need to visit India.
India made the ideas at the Friday, January 12 Trade Policy Forum (TPF) meeting, which was co-chaired by US Trade Representative Katherine Tai and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.
The two parties agreed during the meeting that the flow of investors, students, and professionals had a significant positive impact on the bilateral economic and technological cooperation.
