New Delhi, 20th Feb: Prince Alois, Hereditary Prince of the Principality of Liechtenstein, paid a visit to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi.
On the sidelines of the summit, Prime Minister Modi held a meeting with Prince Alois, during which both leaders reaffirmed the cordial and friendly relations between India and Liechtenstein.
Welcoming the entry into force of the India–TEPA Free Trade Agreement in October 2025, the two leaders expressed confidence that the pact would inject fresh momentum into bilateral economic engagement. They noted that the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) is expected to facilitate investment flows of up to US$100 billion into India over the next 15 years.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in high-value manufacturing, advanced technologies and innovation-driven sectors. Both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration in emerging areas aligned with the evolving global technology landscape.
The meeting marked a step forward in reinforcing the India–Liechtenstein partnership and underscored the shared commitment of both nations to enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation.
