“India Knows Peace, But Can Respond in Their Language”: Adani on Op Sindoor

By Dr. Kumar Rakesh

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Tuesday hailed the Indian armed forces for their decisive action during Operation Sindoor, a military operation launched last month to target terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), in retaliation for the deadly April 22 terror strike in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking at the 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Adani Group shareholders, Adani said, “This year, during Operation Sindoor, our brave men and women in uniform stood tall. Not for fame, not for medals – but for duty.” He praised the armed forces for upholding India’s sovereignty and added, “Their courage reminded us that peace is never free; it is earned.”

“Operation Sindoor showed that India knows the value of peace, but if someone shows us an eye, we know how to respond in their language,” he added, acknowledging the strategic importance of the operation in restoring national pride and security.

Adani also revealed that Adani Defence played a direct role in supporting the mission. “Operation Sindoor called, and we delivered. Our drones became the eyes in the skies as well as the swords of attack. Our anti-drone systems helped protect our forces and citizens,” he said. “We don’t operate in safe zones. We operate where it matters – where India needs us the most.”

The billionaire industrialist also paid tribute to the victims of the recent Air India Dreamliner crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, in which over 250 lives were lost. “We bow our heads in grief for the lives lost in the tragic crash of Air India flight. So many dreams were silenced in an instant. So many families were forever changed,” he said solemnly.

“May we therefore carry both our gratitude and our grief – as a reminder of what truly matters,” Adani concluded, striking a reflective note on national service, sacrifice, and shared responsibility.
