New Delhi, 3rd Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday met German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul in New Delhi, underscoring the growing depth of India-Germany ties as the two nations mark 25 years of their Strategic Partnership.

Sharing details of the meeting, the Prime Minister posted on X:
“Delighted to meet German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul. India and Germany are celebrating 25 years of Strategic Partnership. As vibrant democracies and leading economies, we see immense potential to scale up mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, technology, innovation, sustainability, manufacturing and mobility. We share a vision for a multipolar world, peace and UN reforms. Reiterated my invitation to German Chancellor for an early visit to India.”

The discussions reflected India and Germany’s shared commitment to strengthen collaboration in key sectors such as sustainable development, advanced manufacturing, digital innovation, and global mobility solutions. The leaders also reaffirmed their vision for peace, a multipolar world order, and reforms in the United Nations system to reflect contemporary realities.

Prime Minister Modi also extended a renewed invitation to the German Chancellor for an early visit to India, signalling the importance both nations place on high-level political engagement.
