Rajgir, Sept 7: India’s men’s hockey team, led by Harmanpreet Singh, produced a commanding display to beat defending champions Korea 4-1 in the final of the Men’s Asia Cup on Sunday, securing their place in next year’s World Cup.

India struck early as Sukhjeet Singh scored a stunning opener in the very first minute, followed by Dilpreet Singh doubling the lead before halftime. Dilpreet added a second after the break, and Amit Rohidas sealed the victory with the fourth goal. Korea managed only a consolation strike as the hosts maintained control throughout the match.

The result marked a turnaround from their previous Super 4s clash, which ended 2-2. Earlier, India stormed into the final with a 7-0 thrashing of China, while Korea edged Malaysia 4-3 in a thriller.
