India-Central Asia Partnership a Force Multiplier Against Regional Challenges:PM Modi

New Delhi, 6th June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met with the Foreign Ministers of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan following the 4th Meeting of the India-Central Asia Dialogue held earlier in New Delhi.

During the meeting, the ministers briefed the Prime Minister on the productive discussions that took place at the dialogue. PM Modi reiterated that India’s relations with Central Asian nations remain a key priority, grounded in historic people-to-people ties.

The Prime Minister shared his vision for deeper economic interconnections, improved connectivity, enhanced defence and security cooperation, and collaboration in emerging areas. He emphasized that a strong India-Central Asia partnership acts as a force multiplier to address shared regional and global challenges.

The Central Asian leaders strongly condemned the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and expressed full support for India’s ongoing fight against cross-border terrorism.

Concluding the meeting, PM Modi extended a formal invitation to the leaders of all Central Asian countries to participate in the Second India-Central Asia Summit, to be hosted in India.
