New Delhi, 12th Aug: The INDIA Bloc has begun informal discussions among its constituent parties regarding the selection of a candidate for the upcoming Vice President election.
During these preliminary talks, several names have been discussed, with different parties suggesting potential nominees from their side. A formal meeting of the alliance to decide on the Vice Presidential candidate is expected to take place after August 15, likely on August 17 or 18.
So far, the government has not initiated any discussion with the Congress or any other INDIA Bloc party regarding a consensus candidate for the post.
