New Delhi, 2nd Feb: The India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to be held in New Delhi from February 16 to 20, is set to become the largest of the four global AI summits hosted so far, reflecting growing international momentum around responsible, inclusive and impact-driven Artificial Intelligence.

According to official information released on Sunday, the Summit has already attracted more than 35,000 registrations from across the world. The event will focus on translating global AI vision into execution, with an emphasis on outcomes that have real-world impact.

Governments, industry leaders, researchers, civil society organisations and international institutions are expected to take part in shaping the Summit’s agenda. Participation is anticipated from over 100 countries, including 15–20 Heads of Government, more than 50 Ministers and over 40 CEOs of leading global and Indian companies. Around 500 prominent figures from the global AI ecosystem, including innovators, researchers and Chief Technology Officers, are also likely to attend.

Highlighting the scale of engagement, the Summit will feature a startup showcase of over 500 AI startups and host nearly 500 sessions alongside the main programme, positioning it among the most wide-ranging AI-focused global gatherings.

The preparatory phase has also seen extensive participation. Over 1,300 proposals were received for pre-Summit events, with more than 500 such events already conducted across sectors and regions in India and abroad. The Summit framework includes seven flagship events, collectively engaging over 300,000 participants.

The global AI summit process has evolved steadily, beginning with discussions on AI risks at Bletchley Park, followed by a focus on ethics and inclusion in Seoul, and later moving towards operationalising shared principles in Paris. The India-hosted Summit underscores the country’s expanding role in shaping global AI discourse.

Media accreditation for the Summit is currently open, with applications required to be submitted online by February 8, 2026. Only accredited media representatives will be permitted to cover the proceedings. Further details on the programme, thematic focus areas and participation modalities are available on the official website of IndiaAI.
