Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, 13th May: A high-level dialogue on the theme *“Security of the North-Eastern Region in the Changing Global Scenario”* was jointly organized by the Akhil Bhartiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad (ABPSSP), Arunachal Pradesh, and Global University, Arunachal Pradesh on May 5, 2025. The event was held at Naharlagun, Itanagar, bringing together senior officials, defence veterans, academicians, and thought leaders to address pressing security issues facing the North-East.

The Chief Guest for the event was *Major General Jarken Gamlin*, Chief Information Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh. The keynote address was delivered by *Mananiy Pradeep Joshi*, Akhil Bhartiya Sah Prachar Pramukh, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

The panel of distinguished speakers included:

• Shri Tai Tagak, Social Worker and Former Advisor to the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh
• Shri Taba Tedir, Former Education Minister of Arunachal Pradesh
• Dr. Muthu Zoram, Joint Director, Department of Education
• Dr. Ajay Kumar Mishra, State Laison Officer (NSS ) Cum Academic incharge Dept of Education Arunachal Pradesh
• Col Rajeev Kumar Srivastava, Expert in National and International Security and Strategic Affairs
• Dr. Bhupendra Kumar Singh, Professor, NERIST University, Arunachal Pradesh

Speakers addressed vital issues such as social security in the North-East, the pivotal role of education, and the contribution of the region to India’s national development.

*Maj. Gen. Gamlin* drew from his military experience, encouraging societal unity and preparedness in addressing threats from neighbouring nations. *Col. Srivastava provided* a compelling analysis, particularly focusing on strategic contexts involving Bangladesh and Bengal.

In his closing remarks, *Mananiy Pradeep Joshi* emphasized the importance of national responsibility, youth education, and societal organization, urging collective awareness and action on security matters.

The event commenced with a welcome address by *Dr. Vibhuti Jha*, Vice Chancellor of Global University, while the vote of thanks was presented by *Subedar Major Dorjee Tshering*.

The session was smoothly conducted by *Dr. Jai Prakash Sharma*, National Organizing Secretary, ABPSSP, and Pro-Chancellor, Global University.

The dialogue witnessed enthusiastic participation from veterans, educators, civil society leaders, and women from across Arunachal Pradesh, marking a significant step toward building a secure and united North-East.
