Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan praised India’s foreign policy decision to import Russian oil, saying that “New Delhi’s decision is for the betterment of its people.”

Imran Khan stated at a rally in Lahore: “India, a strategic partner of the US, is importing oil from Russia, claiming that its decisions are based on the welfare of its people.

However, our foreign policy is aimed at improving the lives of others,” he stated.

Earlier in March, Imran Khan admitted that India’s foreign policy was independent and for the benefit of the people.
Imran Khan said at a public rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Malakand district: “I admire our neighbouring country because it has always pursued an independent foreign policy. Today, India is a member of their (America’s) alliance, as well as QUAD (Quadrilateral Security Dialogue); they claim to be neutral. Despite sanctions, they continue to import oil from Russia because their policy is for the benefit of the people.”

He elaborated on the reason for his visit to Russia. Imran Khan stated that he traveled to Moscow in order to control Pakistan’s rising inflation.

“I went to Russia because Russia gave us oil at a 30% discount,” he said at the rally in Lahore. For the second time, the PTI chairman claimed that he was ousted from power because he pursued an independent foreign policy for Pakistan, which he claimed was disliked by international powers.

He accused global forces of working with local “Mir Jaffars and Mir Sadiqs, among others,” to destabilise his government at a time “when the economy was shooting, exports were at a record high – and all of this while the coronavirus was wreaking havoc.”

Imran Khan addressed the cablegate scandal, repeating his claim that US Assistant Secretary of State for Central and South Asia Donald Lu threatened Pakistan’s ambassador to the US that Khan must be removed from power in order to regain American favor.
“What crime had we committed that merited forgiveness? Is it true that we went to Russia? Or that we have stated that we will not provide military bases? Remember Lahore, where they picked up these bad habits. Why aren’t they asking the same question of India? “He inquired.

Foreign powers, according to Khan, did not like him increasing trade with China.

“Because they didn’t like all of these things, a plot was devised. However, no conspiracy can succeed without the help of Mir Jafars and Mir Sadiqs “said the deposed premier.

He claimed that the current government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, fully supported the foreign conspiracy.
Khan claimed that his government was deposed at a time when the country was advancing, with remittances, tax collection, and development at historic highs.

“We were ahead of everyone because unemployment was at an all-time low. Our government also handled the coronavirus admirably, saving lives and ensuring the employment of our poor people “Khan stated.
