Alwar, 7th Sep: Rajasthan police busted a disturbing illegal religious conversion operation at a Christian missionary hostel in Alwar’s Syed Colony, arresting two individuals and rescuing over 50 children.
A police raid revealed that children aged between 6 and 17—many from Hindu and Sikh backgrounds—were being coerced into rejecting their family faiths and accepting Christianity.
Reports suggest that they were told their Hindu gods were “fake” and would condemn them to hell, while only Jesus would save them. Station staff allegedly forced pupils to chant discouraging phrases against their native religions and consume Bible-only teachings.
Authorities arrested Bodhar Amrit (44), a resident of Gujarat, and Sonu Raisikh (34) from Alwar. The hostel is linked to the Friends Missionary Prayer Band (FMPB), a Chennai-based organization. Amrit had been previously arrested in a similar case in Sikar in 2024 and was out on bail when the latest alleged racket emerged.
Children told investigators they were forced to chant, “Only those who worship Jesus will go to heaven; others will burn in hell.” They were shown idols of Hindu gods submerged in water—used symbolically to demean their faith. Parents, often attracted by the promise of affordable education (annual fee ₹3,000), said they were unaware of the indoctrination.
An FIR (No. 324/2025) has been registered for alleged forced conversions. Authorities have seized religious texts, digital materials, and bank records to trace the funding and network responsible. Further arrests are expected as investigations continue.
