Kolkata, 4th Dec. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated on Monday that if there is a proper agreement on seat sharing before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the saffron party (referring to the BJP) will not be able to maintain power at the national level.

She also commented on the BJP’s victories in the assembly polls in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, saying that there was no reason for the saffron party to celebrate as their victory margins were narrow.

Banerjee said that the BJP won more seats than the Congress in Rajasthan due to a division of votes among their opponents.

She emphasized the need for a finalized strategy and expressed her belief that the BJP would not come to power if seat sharing is settled.
