Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a significant two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated staggering 14,000 developmental projects worth Rs 10 lakh crore across the state. PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of the Shri Kalki Dham Temple, a momentous occasion attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust Chairman Acharya Pramod Krishnam.

During a gathering in Sambhal District, PM Modi’s address encompassed various issues, including a subtle critique directed at the recent Supreme Court judgment on the Electoral Bonds Scheme, which went against the Central Government’s stance.

PM Modi drew parallels between himself and Acharya Pramod Krishnam to Lord Krishna and Sudama. He recounted Acharya Pramod Krishnam’s statement, noting that while everyone has something to offer, Acharya Pramod Krishnam expressed only his sentiments. PM Modi humorously remarked that in today’s age, if Sudama were to offer rice to Lord Krishna and footage of the act surfaced, it might lead to a PIL in the Supreme Court alleging corruption against Lord Krishna. He concluded that it was preferable that Acharya Pramod Krishnam refrained from offering any material gifts.
PM Modi said, “…if in today’s era, Sudama would give rice to Shri Krishna and the video would come out, a PIL would be filed in the Supreme Court and the judgment would come that something was given to Lord Krishna in corruption and Lord Krishna was doing corruption.”

This statement by the Prime Minister is perceived as a veiled sarcasm aimed at the Supreme Court, following its recent verdict deeming the Electoral Bonds Scheme as ‘unconstitutional’ based on filed PILs against it.

In his address, PM Modi underscored the significance of laying the foundation stone of the Shri Kalki Dham Temple, expressing immense pride in the endeavor. He voiced his confidence that Kalki Dham would evolve into another esteemed center of Indian faith, akin to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

Prime Minister Modi’s visit and his remarks have sparked discussions nationwide, particularly regarding the delicate balance between the executive and judicial branches of the government, as well as the broader implications for the nation’s political and legal landscape.
