Pune, 22nd July: Pune police have registered a complaint against a man for allegedly secretly recording his wife while she was bathing and subsequently threatening to release the video clips if she failed to provide money for car EMIs. The incident was reported from the Ambegaon area of Pune.
The 30-year-old victim, who married the accused in 2020, has alleged in her police complaint that she has been subjected to both mental and physical torture by her husband. She explicitly stated that her husband filmed her private moments without her knowledge or consent.
According to the complaint, the husband was pressuring his wife to obtain Rs 1.5 lakh from her parents’ home specifically for car installment payments.
Following the woman’s complaint, a case has been registered against the husband and six other individuals. Both the husband and wife are identified as government officials.
Pune police stated that technical evidence, including any available video footage, and other relevant details are currently being examined as part of the ongoing investigation into the matter. The registration of the case underscores the serious nature of the allegations, which involve privacy violation, blackmail, and domestic abuse.
