Honda Launches Rebel 500 Cruiser in India at Rs. 5.12 Lakh

Gurugram, 19th May: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially launched the much-awaited Rebel 500 cruiser motorcycle in the Indian market. Bookings for the 2025 model are now open at select BigWing Topline dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, where the bike will be exclusively available. Deliveries are set to begin from June 2025.

Priced at Rs. 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom Gurugram), the Rebel 500 brings a blend of style, performance, and Honda’s renowned engineering. Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO of HMSI, expressed confidence in the model’s appeal, highlighting its global acclaim and potential to captivate Indian riders.

“This motorcycle is a statement of style, performance, and freedom,” Otani said, adding that the Rebel 500’s distinctive design and powerful engine will resonate with both new and experienced riders across India.

Mr. Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales and Marketing at HMSI, noted the excitement around the launch, describing the Rebel 500 as a long-awaited model for enthusiasts. “It blends timeless cruiser styling with modern touches, making it a unique extension of a rider’s personality,” he said.

The bike features a tubular steel frame and a minimalist ‘bobber’ style with fat tires, finished in a single Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic color. The all-LED lighting system includes a signature round headlight, and the ergonomic seats accommodate both rider and pillion comfortably.

Under the hood, the Rebel 500 is powered by a 471cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 8-valve parallel twin-cylinder engine, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It delivers a maximum power output of 45.59 hp at 8,500 RPM and 43.3 Nm of torque, promising an engaging riding experience.

The Rebel 500 is positioned to carve a niche in India’s cruiser segment, combining style, power, and Honda’s reliability for urban and highway cruising alike.
