Home Minister Amit Shah Lays Foundation Stone for Maa Shakumbhari Devi University in Saharanpur

Saharanpur, 2^nd Dec. Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for Maa Shakumbhari Devi University in Saharanpur’s Behat Assembly constituency on Thursday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present during this.

Maa Shakumbhari Devi University will be constructed at Rs 92 crore over 50.43 acres. It is named after goddess Shakumbari Devi, whose temple is in Behat and revered throughout western UP.

The BJP currently holds four seats of the seven Assembly seats falling in Saharanpur district. Two are held by the Congress and one is with the Samajwadi Party. Of 80 Assembly seats in the region, the BJP currently holds 60.
