New Delhi, 19th Dec: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Friday paid tribute to freedom fighters Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqulla Khan and Roshan Singh on their Balidaan Diwas, remembering their supreme sacrifice for the nation.
In a post on X, Shah said the martyrdom of the three revolutionaries infused new energy into India’s freedom struggle through the historic Kakori Train Action, which shook the foundations of British rule. He said their sacrifice strengthened the resolve of the freedom movement and inspired generations of revolutionaries.
The Home Minister noted that these freedom fighters believed that the country’s resources and the wealth produced by its hardworking people rightfully belonged to the people themselves. He said their ideology and actions became a lasting source of courage and valour for others fighting against colonial oppression.
Shah emphasised that the nation remains eternally grateful to the martyrs and said their contribution to India’s independence would never be forgotten.
