HM Amit Shah Meets Newly-Elected Board of Directors of National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories

New Delhi, 17th Feb. The National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories’ newly-elected board of directors convened with Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, in New Delhi on Friday.
Led by the Federation’s newly-appointed president, Shri Harshvardhan Patil, the delegation engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing the cooperative sugar sector’s prosperity.
In a statement posted on the X platform, Amit Shah expressed his satisfaction in meeting and congratulating the newly-elected board members. He reiterated the Ministry of Cooperation’s commitment, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, to bolstering the cooperative sector’s growth and prosperity.
During the meeting, Union Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah outlined clear directives for the federal body to play a pivotal role in India’s sugar industry.
He emphasized the need to take proactive steps towards establishing multifeed distilleries for ethanol production from maize and sugarcane. Additionally, he advised the federation to operate with a corporate ethos, emphasizing efficiency and accountability in its operations.
