New Delhi, 7th Dec: On Armed Forces Flag Day, the Sainik Welfare and Resettlement Department, Gujarat State, along with the Rajya Sainik Board, honoured Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah by pinning the Armed Forces Flag on him during a ceremony in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
In a message shared on X, Shah said he was heartened by the gesture, thanking the organisations for presenting him with a miniature flag. He noted that India’s armed forces, through their relentless sacrifices, embody the highest values of patriotism, commitment and valour — qualities deeply respected by every citizen.
Shah appealed to people across the country to contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, stressing the importance of supporting veterans and the families of martyrs as a mark of national gratitude.
Armed Forces Flag Day is observed annually to honour the service and sacrifices of personnel from the Army, Navy and Air Force, and to raise funds for their welfare.
