New Delhi, 17th Dec: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on being conferred Ethiopia’s highest civilian honour, the ‘Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia’, calling it a moment of pride for every Indian.

In a post on social media platform X, Shri Amit Shah said the prestigious recognition reflects Prime Minister Modi’s global statesmanship and India’s steadily rising stature on the international stage. He noted that the honour marks the 28th accolade bestowed on Prime Minister Modi by a foreign nation, underscoring Bharat’s growing influence in global diplomacy under his leadership.

“This honour signifies Bharat’s rising stature in global diplomacy and will remain a milestone in the friendship between India and Ethiopia,” Shri Shah said, extending his congratulations to the Prime Minister.

The award was conferred on Prime Minister Modi during his bilateral visit to Ethiopia, highlighting the deepening partnership between the two countries and reaffirming their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation across sectors.
