HM Amit Shah Closely Monitoring Situation in Manipur, Holds Meetings with Top Functionaries of State & Centre Via Video Conference

New Delhi, 5th May. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is constantly keeping an eye on the situation in Manipur and is in frequent contact with key state and central government officials.

According to sources, the Home Minister held meetings twice through video conference with Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, State Chief Secretary, DGP, Union Home Secretary, and other important officials.

Shah also met with the Chief Ministers of neighboring states.

According to sources, the Manipur government has appointed retired IPS officer Kuldiep Singh, a former CRPF Chief, as security advisor.

Paramilitary soldiers have been deployed in the state, and more will be sent today if necessary.
