Helping the Helpless Is Biggest Religion: Satya Pal Jain

Chandigarh, 21st Aug. On behalf of the Social Welfare Women and Child Development Department of Chandigarh Administration, a two-day workshop was organized on August 17 at Asha Kiran Vocational Training Centre in Sector 46, Chandigarh to provide free of cost all vital assistive devices to persons with disabilities.

This workshop will be held at the same place tomorrow also.

On this occasion, Satya Pal Jain, former MP, Additional Solicitor General of the Government of India and Chairman of Social Welfare Committee of Chandigarh Administration, who was the chief guest, said in the camp that God does not give everything to everyone and helping those who need help to live life is the biggest human religion.

The objective of this two-day camp is to assess the needs of Divyangjan in and around Chandigarh and then provide them all the important equipment free of cost, so that these people can feel less difficulty in walking etc.

These devices will be helpful in improving their daily living and making various activities easier.

Joint Director of Social Welfare Naveen Rattu, Assistant Director Prabhjot Kaur, former Mayor Devesh Modgil, Anamika Walia, Karan Vasudeva, Dr. Tulika Mehat and Renu Rishi Gautam also participated in this program.

About 50 Divyangjans participated in this camp today. After assessing them they will be provided all the equipment free of cost.

This camp continues at the same place next place also.
