GTTCI’s MSME Connect 2025 Unites Diplomacy, Trade and Enterprise to Shape Inclusive Global Growth through India-Russia-Uzbekistan Partnership

 The Global Trade & Technology Council (India) hosted MSME Connect – Global Growth Forum 2025 at The Royal Plaza Hotel, New Delhi, marking World MSME Day with a global platform that united diplomats, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders under one roof. The event focused on fostering international cooperationcelebrating innovation, and empowering MSMEs through diplomacy and partnerships.

The forum opened with a traditional Ganesh Vandana and lamp lighting ceremony. GTTCI Founder President Dr. Gaurav Gupta and Chairperson Dr. Rashmi Saluja set the stage with addresses emphasizing India’s growing global MSME presence and the need for value-chain integration.

Commander-in-Chief, Andaman & Nicobar Command Lt Gen DS Rana takes over as Colonel of the Regiment of Garhwal Rifles

In a ceremony reflecting the glorious traditions and spirit of the Indian Army, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command Lieutenant General Dinesh Singh Rana has taken over as the 23rd Colonel of the Regiment of Garhwal Rifles. He succeeds Vice Chief of the Army Staff Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani.

The ceremonial handing over of the Baton took place at the Garhwal Rifles Regimental Centre in Lansdowne, Uttarakhand, amidst full military honours. It celebrated the proud lineage, valour, and time-honoured legacy of one of the Indian Army’s most distinguished infantry regiments, comprising 27 Battalions, including a Scouts Battalion.

During his tenure, Lt Gen NS Raja Subramani provided exemplary leadership and strengthened the regimental bond, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and camaraderie that define the Garhwal Rifles.

Lt Gen DS Rana, an accomplished leader and decorated officer, brings a wealth of operational experience and strategic acumen. As he assumes the mantle of the 23rd Colonel of the Regiment, he reaffirmed his commitment to furthering the ethos, discipline, and martial legacy of the Veer Garhwali warriors who have always stood steadfast in service of the nation.

As part of the proceedings, Lt Gen DS Rana received the Guard of Honour and paid homage at the War Memorial, honouring the supreme sacrifice of the bravehearts of the regiment.

special India-Uzbekistan session featured MoUs to boost investments in sports, pharma, and healthcare. Uzbek Ambassador H.E. Mr. Sardor M Rustambaev and Trade Counsellor Mr. Khurshidbek Samiev outlined emerging opportunities for Indian businesses in Uzbekistan.

In an India-Russia trade panel, GTTCI shared updates from its participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) 2025. The panel included Mr. Andrei Sobolev (Russia’s Trade Commissioner in India) and Mr. Sujeet Kumar, MP, discussing Indo-Russian MSME synergies and banking collaborations with Sber Bank and VTB Bank.

Driving Societal Impact & Innovation

Panels on healthcare, wellness, and fitness highlighted MSMEs’ role in promoting social good. Notable speakers included Olympic medalist Yogeshwar DuttDr. Harsha Jauhari, and Radisson Group’s Sanjay Kaushik. Another session on cybersecurity and investment featured officials from MeitYDSCIVietnam’s Trade Office, and Italy’s Embassy, advocating for digital empowerment of small enterprises.

Expanding Global Export Capacity

A panel on MSME export strategies, moderated by GTTCI’s Jalaj Srivastava, brought together voices from Ethiopia, Comoros, Sri Lanka, and Indian business leaders like Dr. Sandeep Marwah and Rajnish Goenka to explore global trade linkages.

Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare

The session, led by Dr. Rashmi Saluja and Dr. Ajay Swaroop (Sir Ganga Ram Hospital), outlined India’s medical tourism potential, following a GTTCI-SGRH MoU aimed at attracting international patients and facilitating MSME growth in the healthcare ecosystem.
