Lucknow, 1st Jan. BSP leader Mayawati on Monday criticized the BJP government for the problem of unemployment and urged them to show true patriotism by providing a guarantee of employment to the people.
She blamed the previous Congress and current BJP governments for hindering the progress of millions of poor individuals due to their casteist, arrogant, and exclusive policies.
Mayawati encouraged the public to vote for a party in the Lok Sabha elections that is committed to the well-being of the backward castes and the overall public interest.
In a series of posts on X, Mayawati said, “From New Year, the government should discharge true patriotism and ‘Rajdharma’ by ensuring only ’employment guarantee’, because the rest of the government guarantees have proved to be more of deceitful politics of narrow nationalism.”
“If there is a modest per capita income in the country i.e. if there is no money in people’s pockets to spend, then what is the use of blowing the trumpet of development. Also, how is a ‘developed India’ possible with a huge army of unemployed?” she said.
