Govt Convenes All Party Meeting on Sep 17 Ahead of Parliament’s Special Session

New Delhi, 14th Sept. Ahead of the Parliament Session, the ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has called a meeting with the floor leaders of the Political Parties on Sunday the September, 17 in the Parliament, New Delhi, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi informed on Wednesday.

The special session of the Parliament is scheduled to be held from September 18 to 22.

“Ahead of the parliament session from the 18th of this month, an all-party floor leaders meeting has been convened on the 17th at 4.30 PM,” Minister Pralhad Joshi posted on social media platform X, (Formerly Twitter).

“The invitation for the same has been sent to concerned leaders through email. Letter to follow,” he added.

The opposition has also chastised the BJP-led government for convening a special session of Parliament without divulging the agenda.

Previously, the Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister announced a five-day special session of Parliament from September 18 to 22.

The agenda for the special session, however, has not yet been released. The old Parliament building hosted the Monsoon Session of Parliament, which completed last month.

The announcement of the Special Session startled political observers, as parties prepare for assembly elections in five states later this year.
