New Delhi, 30th Oct: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, chaired a high-level meeting with Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and Industry Associations at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, on 29 October 2025.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Department of Commerce, Department of Revenue, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Export Promotion Councils, and several leading industry associations.

During the session, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and the Department of Commerce presented a detailed overview of the major reforms implemented during the first half of FY 2025–26 and the upcoming policy measures to enhance export facilitation. The review also covered the country’s export performance and sectoral growth trends.

The discussions centred on industry challenges, achievements in export diversification, and stakeholder suggestions to strengthen India’s global trade footprint.

Representatives from various sectors—including FIEO, Textile, Apparel, Engineering, Gems & Jewellery, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals, Services, EPCH, Telecom, Leather, CII, FICCI, PHDCCI, SIAM, ASSOCHAM, and NASSCOM—commended the Ministry’s initiatives in creating a business-friendly environment.

Piyush Goyal reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to building a facilitative trade ecosystem through continuous reforms, simplification of processes, and expansion of global market access for Indian exporters.
