Prof. Goel emphasized that self-reliance in an open economy—not self-sufficiency in a closed economy—is the key to sustainable development. He called for a shift from the slogan “Vocal for Local” to the philosophy of “Glocalization”—thinking globally while acting locally—to strengthen indigenous enterprises while engaging with global markets.
Highlighting the need for rural industrialization and a rainbow revolution in agriculture, he urged cooperation instead of competition between agriculture and MSMEs. He advocated a redefined role of bureaucracy inspired by South Korea’s “Pali-Pali” culture and adherence to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s canons of public expenditure—faithfulness, wisdom, and economy.
Prof. Goel concluded that Needonomics, being nonviolent, spiritual, and ethical, provides the moral compass for Atmanirbhar Bharat, transforming it into a journey of self-realization and collective progress towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
