Gangster Goldy Brar was officially declared a terrorist on Monday by the central government under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notice stating that Goldy Brar is associated with the banned Khalistani group, Babbar Khalsa International.

According to the Home Ministry, Goldy Brar is supported by cross-border agencies and has been involved in multiple killings. He also promotes a radical ideology and has made threatening calls to pro-nationalist leaders, demanding ransom and boasting about his killings on various social media platforms.

This Canada-based terrorist has claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala in 2022. Moose Wala was shot dead in Punjab’s Mansa district in May 2022, and the police later identified Brar as the mastermind behind the murder.

The Home Ministry further revealed that Goldy Brar is involved in smuggling high-grade arms, ammunition, and explosives across the border using drones. He supplies these weapons to sharpshooters for carrying out killings.

Additionally, the Ministry stated that Brar and his associates have been conspiring to disrupt peace, communal harmony, and law and order in Punjab. Their plans include sabotage, establishing terror modules, targeted killings, and other anti-national activities.

In June 2022, Interpol issued a Red Corner Notice (RCN) for the extradition of Goldy Brar, shortly after the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.
