Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the media on Wednesday before the Budget session, stating that this would be an interim budget. He also criticized the behavior of opposition MPs in the previous session.

During his customary interaction with the media outside the Parliament building, the Prime Minister began and ended his address with the greeting “Ram Ram.”

He acknowledged the dignified decision made by Parliament to pass the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam during the first session held in the new Parliament building. He also highlighted the display of Nari Shakti (women power) during this year’s Republic Day celebrations.

The Budget session, which started with President Droupadi Murmu’s address, is seen as a celebration of Nari Shakti, according to PM Modi.

PM Modi criticized disruptive Members of Parliament, urging them to reflect on their own conduct and the lack of impact they have had on their constituents. He emphasized that those who have genuinely addressed people’s issues have made a positive contribution to democracy.
PM Modi urged MPs to make the most of this Budget Session and leave a positive impact. He expressed confidence in his party’s victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and stated that a complete budget will be presented after the new government is formed.

The Budget Session of Parliament began with President Droupadi Murmu’s address to both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The session is expected to have eight sittings over a period of 10 days. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the interim budget on February 1st.
