PM Modi Unveils ₹2,183 Crore Projects in Varanasi

Varanasi, 2d Aug: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his 51st visit to his parliamentary constituency, today inaugurated and laid the foundation for 52 development projects worth a total of ₹2183.45 crore. The projects, which include the foundation for a State Homeopathic Medical College and the renovation of 24 Ganga ghats, are aimed at boosting the region’s infrastructure and heritage. The Prime Minister also distributed sports wheelchairs to people with disabilities.

During a public address at Banola village, PM Modi released the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, amounting to ₹20,500 crore, directly into the bank accounts of nearly 10 crore farmers across the country. The Prime Minister used the occasion to promote self-reliance, urging citizens to adopt the “Vocal for Local” mantra and only purchase goods made by fellow Indians.

Addressing national security, PM Modi spoke about “Operation Sindoor,” which he described as fulfilling a promise of revenge for the Pahalgam incident. “This is a new India, which worships Bhole Nath but also becomes Kal Bhairav for the country’s enemies,” he said. He claimed that India’s military action had destroyed terrorist bases in Pakistan, stating that several Pakistani airbases are still “in ICU.” He criticized opposition parties, saying, “Pakistan’s sadness is understandable, but the Congress and SP are crying after seeing the condition of these terrorists.”

The Prime Minister also highlighted several government initiatives for social welfare and economic empowerment. He mentioned the “Lakhpati Didi” campaign, with a goal of creating three crore ‘Lakhpati Didis,’ and a new scheme called “Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Yojana.” He criticized the opposition for spreading “lies” about the PM Kisan scheme, assuring farmers that not a single installment had been delayed.

Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Prime Minister, stating that Kashi has witnessed unprecedented development over the last 11 years. The event was attended by both Deputy Chief Ministers, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.
