Folk Singer Dr. Neetu Kumari Navgeet Honoured with Global Hindi Service Award in New Delhi

New Delhi, 22nd Nov: The World Hindi Council on Friday hosted a prestigious International Hindi Conference at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on the theme “Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya: Symbol of Nationalism and Humanity.” The event brought together distinguished scholars, cultural figures, and Hindi advocates from India and abroad.

During the ceremony, several eminent personalities were honoured with the Global Hindi Service Award for their exceptional contributions toward the promotion of Hindi language, literature, and culture.

Among the awardees was Bihar’s renowned folk singer and Patna Municipal Corporation’s Swachhta Awareness Brand Ambassador, Dr. Neetu Kumari Navgeet, who was felicitated for her outstanding contribution to literature and culture. Her consistent efforts to preserve and popularise folk music and promote Hindi as a cultural identity were highlighted during the event.

The conference was organised with the support of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR).
The event witnessed the presence of several notable dignitaries including:

  • Acharya Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, National President, World Hindi Council
  • Devi Prasad Mishra, National Vice President
  • Vipin Kumar, National General Secretary
  • Ramnarayan Patel, Conference Coordinator

Speaking on the occasion, the organisers said the honour recognises remarkable individuals whose efforts have strengthened Hindi across the world and inspired the next generation to remain connected to their linguistic and cultural heritage.

Celebrating her recognition, Dr. Navgeet said the award reflects not only personal achievement but also the cultural legacy of Bihar and the richness of Indian folk music. She expressed gratitude for the continued support of her audience and reiterated her commitment to promoting Hindi and folk cultural heritage on global platforms.

The international conference concluded with sessions on Hindi literature, cultural identity, global outreach of the language, and the relevance of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s philosophy in contemporary society.
