New Delhi, 25th Dec: At least 16 flights were cancelled and several others delayed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday due to dense fog and low visibility conditions.

Airport officials said 11 arriving flights and five departing services were cancelled as weather conditions affected aircraft movement and scheduling.

Despite the disruptions, officials maintained that overall operations were running smoothly and that efforts were being made to minimise inconvenience to passengers.

Delhi International Airport Ltd (DIAL), which operates the IGI Airport, said the facility handles around 1,300 flight movements daily, making it one of the busiest aviation hubs in the country.
