Flood Rescue Teams of Indian Navy Help Citizens in Recovery Post Floods

Dehradun, 26th July. The seven Flood Rescue Teams from the Western Naval Command of the Indian Navy, deployed to Ratnagiri and Raigarh districts, continued with the efforts to aid the flood affected local population.

More than 200 families have been provided with packaged ‘ready to eat’ meals in the last two days. Emergency first aid and basic medicines were also provided to the people in need.

The teams also assisted citizens in clearing up the debris left by the receding flood waters in the area.

The teams would be returning to Mumbai today, 26th July on completion of rescue efforts and will remain in a high state of readiness to respond to any further requests for assistance.
