Gurugram, 17th Aug: Two masked men on a motorcycle opened fire at the Gurugram residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav on Sunday morning. At least 25 shots were fired at the house, located in the city’s Sector 57, an incident that was captured on CCTV. Yadav was not at home during the attack, and no one was injured.
The notorious Himanshu Bhau gang has since claimed responsibility for the firing in a social media post, accusing the YouTuber of promoting gambling. The gang, led by a Portugal-based fugitive gangster, is known for extortion and violent crimes across Delhi-NCR. “Today, the bullets that were fired at Elvish Yadav’s house were fired by us… He has ruined many homes by promoting betting,” the post read.
While we could not independently verify the authenticity of the post, police have initiated an investigation. Yadav’s father, Ram Avtar Yadav, who was inside the house at the time, said he was sleeping when he heard the shots.
He confirmed that the CCTV footage showed two or three attackers, and that the family had no prior knowledge of any threats. A formal police complaint is yet to be filed.
