FIPA of USA With Other Associations Join Hands To Send 5000 Oxygen Concentrators To India To Fight Covid

As Covid crisis worsened in India, FIPA of USA reached out to several other  associations such as Wheels Global Foundation, Shiv Yoga, Sewa International, Amneal Pharmaceuticals, multiple Gujarati Samaj Association, FAPI, AAPIQLI, MVIMA, GWAPI, MOCCAPI, IMANE, AAPINO, Baroda Medical College Association, BJMC, Madhya Pradesh Medical Association, Indiana Medical Association, AIA, RajMayee, RANA, B U Patel Foundation, SSAI, Adharsheela, VIPO USA, Irada Foundation, New York State AAPI, Gujarati Samaj New York, AAPI MTRO NYC, Manhattan AAPI, Sacramento and Bronx Medical Association, VYO, Gandhian Society, Punjabi Chamber of Commerce, Silver Spring Gurudwara and several other entities.

Federation of Indian Physicians Association FIPA is 21st century modern age association founded to achieve professional excellence. FIPA has been working tirelessly to help covid crisis in India. FIPA is a conglomeration of more than 25 different local chapters and alumni associations. FIPA was founded last year to unite different physician and non-physician groups, associations and charities and partner on equal footing on common projects and goals by Dr Raj Bhayani Founder President, Dr Vinod Shah Chair Board of Trustee, Dr Naresh Parikh Co Chair, Dr Ajeet Kothari, Dr Pawan Ratan, Dr Sudhir Sekhseria, Dr Rakesh Sharma, Dr Raj Shah, Dr Bindu Kansupada and several other eminent physician leaders.

Dr Raj Bhayani,Founder President,FIPA,USA said we have raised funds for oxygen concentrators to support or mother land Bharat in this covid crisis.

Dr Bhayani said with combined team efforts for fundraising by our all supporter  associations, a National sentiment and emotional drive resulted in raising funds where about 5000 concentrators have been purchased. Out of which, 450 units have already reached Ahmedabad India, 325 are on way to Delhi and 300 are on way to Mumbai. These units are to be received by local Indian partners, hospitals, makeshift isolation centres, newly created mobile hospitals and charities so that local partners in remote part of India can use these units to provide oxygen to covid patients as needed.

About 3500 units are still waiting to be shipped. FIPA has reached out to Indian embassy, ministry of aviation and Air India to help transport these units immediately.

For support to Covid patients in India,FIPA Tele-Health Initiatives under Chair Dr Raj Shah have been launched. Wheel Global Foundation, Adharsheela, Ekal Vidyalaya, Face to Face Health, Evolko, SSAI came together with FIPA to work together to address two major issues of concern for physicians. How to get Indian and non-Indian physicians fulfil their necessary licensure requirements and minimise the liability.

Then the question comes how, when we are not there and can not be there given the current situation.

The answer is healthcare delivery from a distance. The Practice of medicine is governed differently by different countries and different states in the same country as ours here in the USA: That raises some questions as to How we can do it: The process, workflow, platform and Consolidating.
