Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi

New Delhi, 26th Dec. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Finance Minister, was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday.

The 63-year-old has been admitted to the hospital’s private ward.

Around 12 p.m., she was taken to the hospital.

FM Sitharaman paid floral tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary yesterday at Delhi’s ‘Sadaiv Atal’.

During a convocation ceremony at a university in Tamil Nadu recently, the finance minister stated that India is recognized as the world’s pharmacy as it produces global standard medicine at an affordable cost.

She stated that India supplies 50% of all generic medicine demand in Africa, 40% of generic medicine demand in the United States, and 25% of all medicine demand in the United Kingdom.

She stated at the TamilNadu Dr MGR Medical University’s 35th annual convocation that India produces approximately 60% of global vaccines and 70% of World Health Organization vaccines for essential immunization schemes.
