Fight against Corona: Lockdown Announced in Kerala from May 8 to 16

Thiruvananthapuram, 6th May. The Kerala government has announced a full lockdown in the state on Thursday (6 May). Restrictions will be imposed from May 8 to overcome the Corona epidemic. Lockdown will be imposed until May 16.

The decision has been taken keeping in view the increasing cases of corona in the state. In the last 24 hours more than 42 thousand new cases were reported in Kerala, after which the decision to lockdown was taken. Apart from this, the positivity rate has been more than 25 percent in many districts of the state.

Following the instructions of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, restrictions and travel were banned in the state to overcome the corona, but a lockdown was announced as the situation did not improve.
