Extension of Janta Curfew in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, 7th May. Madhya Pradesh Government has announced to extend the Janata curfew by 15 May. CM Shivraj Singh has directed the officials to impose Corona restrictions in the state without any laxity. CM informed that the number of corona infected patients in the state is rapidly decreasing and if negligence is not done, the corona cases will be completely controlled.

During the address of the ‘Kill Corona-2’ campaign, CM Shivraj Singh said that a Janta (Public) curfew was imposed in the state. With the cooperation of all, we are now behind the big states in matters of active cases. Positivity rate is constantly falling. It has come down from 25% to 18.5 percent. However, we still cannot open Janta (Public) curfew at a positivity rate of more than 18 percent.

He announced to keep the Janta (Public) curfew in force till 15 May. He said that the number of increasing cases of corona in the state has now come down. Now around 12,000 cases are coming every day, while we are increasing the pace of testing continuously. The recovery rate is 85.13%.

CM Shivraj Singh called upon the people to postpone the wedding ceremony. He wrote in the tweet, ‘Transition increases very fast due to marriage. Such circumstances do not allow us to organize events like marriages. I urge all my public representatives, that there should be no weddings in May, to motivate people for this.’
