Experience Vibrant Heritage of South India at Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav: President Murmu

New Delhi- President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday inaugurated the second edition of Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Rashtrapati Bhavan, celebrating India’s rich cultural diversity with a special focus on the southern states.

Addressing the gathering, the President highlighted that the festival showcases the vibrant heritage of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and the Union Territories of Lakshadweep and Puducherry. She expressed happiness that around 500 artisans and weavers are participating in the event and encouraged people to explore the diverse art and culture of South India, which would also uplift the artisans and artists.

Organized in seven editions dedicated to different regions of India, Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav aims to celebrate the country’s cultural richness. The second edition features exhibitions, performances, literary discussions, and food courts, offering a platform for artists, craftsmen, and performers to showcase their talents.

The festival is open to the public from March 6 to 9, 2025, between 10 AM and 8 PM. Visitors can enter through Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan, with online bookings available at visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in.
