‘Ex Muslims of India’, a non-profit organization that assists Muslims who wish to leave Islam

‘I was stuck in a bind for almost ten years.’ I had some reservations about Islam. I read Prophet Muhammad’s Autobiography a few years ago. My resolve grew stronger as I turned the pages of the book. In fact, the things written in that book about slavery and women violate human rights. Last December, I went to the mosque to officially announce my departure from Islam.

This is the story of not only Ayesha Mercorous of Kerala, but of many others who have left Islam in the state.

Is it easy to integrate back into family and society after leaving Islam?
Ayesha claims that my family members do converse, but that things are no longer as they were. I’m in Delhi, so I don’t have much contact with the local culture, but doing all of this while living there would have been extremely difficult.

In fact, the organization is constantly debated in Kerala these days. People who abandon Islam are treated horribly. They also claim that thousands of people have left Islam across India, but people are afraid to speak out.

The organization is focused on three goals. According to Arif, the organization has three goals. The first is to decode the things recorded in the Quran and bring them to light. Second, there is the issue of exposing the Prophet Muhammad. Third, there are those who abandon Islam. Please assist them. Such people face social, economic, and emotional atrocities. We assist them with legal issues by providing a community. He explains, this with an example: in the 34th verse of Chapter 4 of the Quran, the husband’s beating of the wife is also justified. It has been argued that if a woman’s behavior goes wrong, then this method is perfectly acceptable for bringing it into play. We assist them with legal issues by providing a community. According to Dr. Arif, if Allah created both man and woman, how is it permissible for a husband to beat his wife? We are working hard to bring all of these things to the people.
