Khagaria, 25th Oct: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the opposition Mahagathbandhan during an election rally in Khagaria, declaring that the upcoming Bihar Assembly election will determine whether the state returns to the “Jungle Raj” era or continues on the path of development under the NDA.

Shah made it clear that the NDA government stands firm on its policy against infiltration, vowing that every illegal immigrant would be identified and sent back to their country. “No matter how many rallies the opposition holds or how many ‘Save Infiltrators’ campaigns they launch, we will track down every infiltrator, remove their names from the voter list, and send them back,” Shah asserted.

Criticizing the Mahagathbandhan for opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists, Shah said, “Rahul Baba says infiltrators should be allowed to stay in Bihar. Tell me, should we let them stay? The NDA government will ensure every infiltrator is removed from the country.”

Calling the election a decisive moment for Bihar’s future, Shah told the crowd, “This is not merely an election to make someone an MLA, a minister, or a chief minister. This election will decide whether the Jungle Raj of Lalu-Rabri returns, or whether Bihar, under NDA, continues to build its identity as a developed state.”

Taking aim at the RJD leadership, Shah accused the Mahagathbandhan of corruption and family politics. “Lalu Prasad Yadav focused only on enriching his own family. While Nitish Babu works for Bihar’s holistic development, Lalu Ji wants to make his son the Chief Minister, and Sonia Gandhi wants to make her son the Prime Minister. Only Narendra Modi Ji and Nitish Kumar Ji truly care for the sons and daughters of Bihar,” Shah said, adding that both leaders have a clean record, unlike Lalu Yadav, who has been tainted by scams ranging from the fodder scam to BPSC irregularities.

Recalling the RJD regime, Shah said, “During Lalu’s rule, murder, loot, ransom, and kidnapping were common. Industries left the state, and Bihar was pushed into backwardness.” In contrast, he credited the NDA government under Nitish Kumar with freeing Bihar from Jungle Raj, ending dynastic politics, and tackling Naxalism.

Highlighting NDA’s welfare initiatives, Shah said, “The government has deposited ₹10,000 into the accounts of one crore women associated with the ‘Jeevika’ scheme. Widow and old-age pensions have been raised from ₹400 to ₹1,100 per month, and ASHA workers now receive a monthly honorarium of ₹3,000. The dream of a metro in Patna is now becoming a reality.”

Outlining NDA’s development model, Shah added, “Education in schools and colleges, timely healthcare, irrigation for every farm, and water supply to every home — these four principles are driving Bihar’s progress.”

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Shah said, “Modi Ji has elevated India’s economy from the 11th to the 4th largest in the world, and by 2027, India will become the third-largest global economy. Our government has strengthened national security and eliminated terrorists in their own hideouts.”

Extending greetings on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparv, Shah said, “I pray that Bihar remains forever free from Jungle Raj, with strong law and order, safety for women, and continuous progress on the path of development.”
