Eminent Businessman Ganpat Kothari Appointed President of Rajasthan Foundation’s Mumbai & Maharashtra Chapter

Jaipur, 4th Sept: The Rajasthan government has nominated Shri Ganpat Kothari, Chairman of Kothari Fabtax Pvt Ltd, as the President of the Mumbai Chapter of Rajasthan Foundation. The announcement was made through an official communication by Dr. Manisha Arora, Commissioner of the Rajasthan Foundation.

The Rajasthan Foundation, operating under the Department of Industries & Commerce, aims to strengthen ties between Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) and their home state. Currently, it has 26 chapters across the world — 14 in India and 12 overseas. The Indian chapters include Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Guwahati, Pune, Ranchi, Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Coimbatore, and Kolkata. Overseas chapters are located in Doha (Qatar), Dubai (UAE), Kampala (Uganda), Melbourne (Australia), Munich (Germany), Nairobi (Kenya), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Singapore, Tokyo (Japan), Kathmandu (Nepal), London (UK), and New York (USA).

In her letter, Dr. Arora highlighted that Kothari’s leadership and stature as an eminent Non-Resident Rajasthani would help coordinate with the diaspora, eminent personalities, and organizations in Mumbai and Maharashtra. The objective, she noted, is to motivate greater participation of the Rajasthani community in the socio-economic development of the state.

The Foundation has requested Kothari to confirm his consent by September 4 and propose an executive committee comprising key office bearers and up to 10 members within three days.

The Rajasthan Foundation, chaired by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, has been instrumental in providing a forum for communication and engagement with Pravasi Rajasthanis worldwide. Its existing chapters span cities such as Delhi, Pune, Ranchi, Dubai, London, and New York.
