Bengaluru, 10th Feb. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at over a dozen locations in Karnataka on Saturday as part of an ongoing money-laundering investigation involving Congress MLA Nara Bharath Reddy and others, according to official sources.
The 34-year-old legislator from Bellary is at the center of the probe, with authorities also targeting several locations across Karnataka and Telangana.
ED officials carried out searches at Mr. Reddy’s properties in Bellary and Bengaluru as part of the investigation. The case against him originates from an FIR filed by the Karnataka Police, focusing on allegations related to land deals that have captured the ED’s attention.
Additionally, the agency is scrutinizing certain mining and quarrying businesses purportedly linked to the MLA.
