ECI Deploys Observers to Monitor Bihar Elections, Bye-Polls

Nee Delhi, 19th Oct: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has deployed Central Observers to oversee the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 and bye-polls in eight constituencies, ensuring transparency and a level playing field for all parties.

Under Article 324 of the Constitution and Section 20B of the Representation of the People Act, the ECI has appointed over 250 General and Police Observers across two phases of polling, with additional teams for the bye-elections.

All Observers have completed initial constituency visits and are now stationed on-site to monitor preparations. They have been directed to remain accessible to parties and voters and ensure free, fair, and transparent elections.
