Doda, 10th March. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, addressing a massive public rally in Doda, Jammu & Kashmir, highlighted the transformative journey of the region under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Inaugurating the Agri StartUp Exhibition, Dr. Singh underscored the government’s commitment to equitable development and communal harmony, which had long been neglected by previous administrations.

Thousands of attendees, hailing from various parts of the twin districts of Kishtwar and Doda, including Bhaderwah, gathered to witness the event.

Dr. Jitendra Singh lamented the historical neglect of the erstwhile Doda district, despite its representation in both Union and state cabinets since independence. However, he emphasized that under the leadership of PM Modi, Doda has witnessed remarkable progress and gained global recognition, particularly through initiatives like the lavender and purple revolution spearheaded by Bhaderwah.

Dr. Singh highlighted PM Modi’s inclusive policies, aimed at benefiting all sections of society regardless of religion or caste. He praised the resilience and patriotism of the people of Doda, who steadfastly remained in the region even during the peak of militancy.

The implementation of various development projects such as the National Highway 244, Chattergala tunnel, hydropower projects, and medical colleges has ushered in a new era of transformation and optimism in the region.

The Minister emphasized that these initiatives have not only led to socio-economic transformation but have also kindled aspirations, particularly among the youth, who were previously disheartened.

Dr. Singh commended PM Modi’s commitment to creating a new work culture and fostering democratic principles by prioritizing development and welfare schemes.

Dr. Jitendra Singh lauded the improved road connectivity, power supply, and medical facilities in Doda over the past decade, highlighting the significant infrastructure development under schemes like PMGSY.

He also noted the distinction of Doda constituency for hosting three medical colleges, a testament to the government’s focus on healthcare infrastructure.
