Ayodhya, 22nd Jan.
The temple town of Ayodhya is all set to welcome Lord Ram as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in the consecration ceremony at the newly built Ram Mandir on Monday.

The ceremony will include the Pran Pratishtha of the idol of Ram Lalla, the childhood form of Lord Ram. People from various backgrounds, including representatives of spiritual and religious sects, tribal communities, and prominent individuals, will attend the event.

The ceremony will begin at 12:20 pm and is expected to conclude by 1 pm. Following the ceremony, the prime minister will address the gathering. Prime Minister Modi will also meet with the workers involved in the construction of the temple and visit the restored ancient Shiv temple at Kuber Tila, where he will perform a pooja.

The Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, constructed in the traditional Nagara style, is an impressive structure with a length of 380 feet, width of 250 feet, and height of 161 feet. It has 392 pillars and 44 doors, adorned with intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities.

The consecration rituals for the Pran Pratishtha began on January 16 and will be completed on Monday afternoon. The event is expected to be watched by millions of people through live TV and online platforms.

Special festivities have been announced in temples across the country, and events are planned in various parts of the world by Hindu diaspora groups. Fourteen couples from different parts of India will be the hosts for the Pran Pratishtha of the new idol of Ram Lalla. The idol, sculpted by Arun Yogiraj, was placed in the temple last Thursday. Ayodhya has been decorated with flowers and lights, creating a religious atmosphere.

Street Lights on flyovers and ornamental lamp posts carry designs related to Lord Ram. A high level of security has been implemented in Ayodhya for the ceremony, with CCTV cameras, drones, and police personnel deployed. Movable barriers with barbed wires are used to regulate traffic, and NDRF teams are prepared for emergencies.

Prominent figures such as Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, and Sachin Tendulkar have been invited to the event. However, most opposition leaders have declined the invitation.

The consecration ceremony marks the completion of the first phase of the temple’s construction, made possible by a Supreme Court judgment in 2019. The Hindu litigants argued that the Babri Mosque was built on the site of a temple marking Lord Ram’s birthplace. In 1992, the mosque was demolished by kar sevaks.
