Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh made a heartfelt gesture by personally welcoming devotees traveling on the Special Katra-Vaishnodevi Special train as they arrived in Ayodhya on Wednesday. The pilgrims, predominantly from Udhampur, Reasi, and Jammu, were greeted by Dr. Singh upon their arrival in the sacred city to offer prayers at the newly constructed Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.

This morning marked the arrival of the first Special Train of pilgrims from Katra, ushering devotees on a journey facilitated by the Northern Railways. The “Aastha Specials” trains, consisting of 22 coaches each, have been initiated by the Indian Railways, connecting 66 locations across the country to facilitate pilgrimages to Ayodhya following the inauguration of the Ram Temple on January 22, 2024.

Dr. Jitendra Singh, along with pilgrims from Udhampur, Reasi, and Jammu districts, participated in offering prayers at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. Reflecting on the significance of the pilgrimage, Dr. Singh expressed gratitude for the divine opportunity made possible under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, emphasizing the special bond between the holy cities of Katra-Vaishnodevi and Ayodhya, united by Ram Lalla.

Highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s connection with the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, Dr. Singh recalled pivotal moments, including the commencement of the PM’s election campaign in 2014 after seeking blessings at the temple. Subsequently, upon assuming office, one of PM Modi’s initial engagements was the inauguration of the Katra-Vaishno Devi Railway Station.

Dr. Singh further noted PM Modi’s directive to convert the Katra Railway Station to solar power, setting a precedent for sustainable energy practices in other railway stations across the country.

Representing the Udhampur constituency in the Lok Sabha, Dr. Jitendra Singh underscored the transformative initiatives undertaken under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, including the development of infrastructure and connectivity for Katra Vaishno Devi.

While the devotees will have an opportunity to pay obeisance at Ayodhya, they will be also carrying the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi all the way to the Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya, said Dr Jitendra Singh.
