DMK assigns two seats to its allies ahead of the Lok Sabha elections

The Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), a longstanding ally of the DMK, has been granted the Ramanathapuram Parliament Constituency.

In the meantime, Rajiv Kumar, the chief electoral commissioner, warned political parties on Saturday that there would be “zero-tolerance policy” regarding “misuse of money” during the next Lok Sabha elections.

The CEC Chief began his two-day assessment of Tamil Nadu’s election readiness on Friday, escorted by top Election Commission of India officials.
