New Delhi, 24th Nov: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed grief over the demise of veteran actor Dharmendra, calling it the end of an era in Indian cinema. The legendary actor, fondly known as the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, leaves behind a towering legacy that has spanned generations.
In his tribute, the Prime Minister hailed Dharmendra as an iconic film personality whose performances brought both charm and depth to Indian cinema. He noted that the actor’s ability to portray a wide spectrum of characters resonated deeply with audiences across age groups.
“The passing of Dharmendra Ji marks the end of an era in Indian cinema. He was an iconic film personality, a phenomenal actor who brought charm and depth to every role he played. The manner in which he played diverse roles struck a chord with countless people,” PM Modi wrote in a post on X.
The Prime Minister also remembered Dharmendra’s simplicity, humility and warmth beyond the screen—qualities that endeared him to millions over the decades.
